Starting your day off right is so important to me. I truly believe that the way you treat your mind and body is directly correlated with the way you perform throughout the day. I've worked really hard to implement specific habits that I know will set me up for success and help me be the most productive, positive person I can be. See below for five ways I start my day off on the right foot to ensure I'm being the best possible version of myself! Set Your Alarm To Something Soothing I don’t know about you, but the default alarm on my iPhone literally jolts me awake in the morning (and not in a good way). I feel like it’s so aggressive and startling. I switched the sound to something more soothing (I believe it’s called twinkle) and it’s a much more pleasant way to wake up! Move Your Body I love me a good sweat sesh in the morning! It always makes me feel better when I exercise first thing - it’s such a great way to get your mind and body right before you tackle your day. You can find me heading to spin, yoga, or barre any day of the week! Drink Water Please don’t be that person who realizes it’s 3pm and hasn’t had a glass of water all day. Pour yourself a glass first thing in the morning and drink it before anything else! Then, bring a water bottle with you to work and refill it throughout the day :) Eat Something Nutritious I’m a firm believer that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Start your day with something nutritious and delicious, and I guarantee it will help you make better decisions throughout your day. Read The News This one is huge for me! Knowledge is power guys, and staying informed is so important. I always make sure I read the news while I'm sipping my coffee in the morning to make sure I know what's going on in the world.
