Similarly to looking back at the previous year to celebrate successes and failures, I always like to look ahead to the new year as well and get excited for all that's to come! I've got some big things happening in 2020, both personally and professionally. And while I won't give away alllll of my news for The Balancing Effect just yet, I'll still give you a little peek into some of the things I'm most looking forward to in 2020! JANUARYI am so pumped to let you know that in January I am announcing the very first Balancing Effect event!!!! I've been working on this project for the past 6 months, I am so freaking excited to share it with you all. Our announcement date is set for January 13, so be sure to follow along ;) MARCHIn March I get to celebrate one year of marriage and seven years together with my best friend in the world. I chose the below photos from our wedding to showcase that information because these truly embody how goofy Albert and I are as a couple. This man makes me laugh every single day and I am so grateful for the life we live together. March is also going to be when the first Balancing Effect event is held!!!! *hint hint wink wink* APRILIn April Albert and I are finally taking the trip we've always talked about to Scotland and Ireland! Two of our best friends (hi Sam and Rach!) live in Glasgow, so we'll be going to visit them for a few days and then we'll be heading to Dublin to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Albert and I both have Scottish/Irish heritage, so we're excited to explore all that these places have to offer and escape together for a bit. And also drink lots of scotch and whiskey. We love scotch and whiskey. Albert also turns 28 in April! #oldman :) JUNEIn June we get to celebrate the wedding of two of our dearest friends, Mike and Lanie!!! Lanie and I met while working together at an agency and basically forced each other to be friends LOL. It was magical and I truly believe she's my soulmate of sorts. I can't freakin' wait to celebrate these two and cry happy tears and take all the pictures of this gal in her wedding dress. Love you Lana. JULYEEEEK! In July I get to head to Rhode Island and celebrate one of my best friends ever at her bachelorette party!!!! I have never been a bridesmaid so I am pumped to be on the other end of the bride spectrum and get to celebrate and shower my sweet Hannah! AUGUSTIn August I turn 27! My birthday is on a Friday this year so I'm already preparing to take the whole day off and pamper myself before our annual Hall's dinner haha. SEPTEMBERI was gonna try and write this without crying, but every time I think about watching these two lovebirds walk down the aisle I start blubbering like a baby. In September Albert and I get to watch two of the greatest people we know get married and we both have the huge honor of being in their wedding party. Hannah and I have been incredibly close ever since our college dancing days and I always tell people that she's my person, because it's true. We studied the same subject in school, had the same hobbies and interests, etc. She is the easiest person to get along with and we always have such a good time together. I love and adore her a crazy stupid amount. Cue Albert and Mike meeting and we officially had our "couple best friends." Those two together on the first night they met was the most hilarious and amazing sight to see. I remember Hannah and I looking at each other like "what have we just done?!" haha. I cannot wait to spend a long weekend in Maine celebrating these two in September. It's probably the thing I'm looking forward to most in 2020. We love you so much Hannah and Mike!!!! I highly encourage all of you to jot down the things you're looking forward to in 2020! I keep a list on my phone so that whenever I'm feeling discouraged about where I'm at or what's going on, I can quickly remind myself of all the exciting things to come.
What will the new year bring for you, friends?
